Program Description: The Institute for Public Affairs at the University of Oklahoma provides applied policy research and technical assistance, leadership development, and civic education for public sector and nonprofit audiences in Oklahoma. The staff of the Institute have substantial expertise in the areas of policy analysis and program evaluation, in partiular. Overall the activities of the Institute contribute to the development and implementation of sound public policy and improved governance through the application of the University's knowledge base to the policy process. The Institute draws on the diverse backgrounds, interests, and expertise represented among the faculty and students throughout the University.
