The Southern Technology Council (STC) is the advisory council on innovation and technology policy issues for Southern Growth Policies Board. The council is comprised of a diverse group of professionals in the science, technology and economic development fields with the principal mission of strengthening the Southern economy through technology and innovation.
In 2006, the Southern Technology Council released Innovation with a Southern Accent, Southern Growth's 2006 Report on the Future of the South. The report included a framework for increasing the South's assets in science and technology-driven industries called the Southern Innovation System (SIS). SIS includes a series of regional initiatives that the STC is working on with area partners to improve and grow the innovation infrastructure of the region. Visit the links below to learn more.
